Gig posters are something much more than bold colors and bold statements. Whenever I personally see a gig poster I am completely sucked in. With the combination of pop art and a whirlwind of color that’s what I think of when I see a gig poster. It has no limitations and that’s what I love about it! Anyone whether they have an official degree or not can be a designer. It’s like taking the old ways of spacing and placement and throwing that design concept out the window! I also enjoy how extreme each poster can be (like artists are not afraid to push the limits on the grotesque or vulgar).
